When everyday life feels challenging
Are family conflicts, emotional outbursts or everyday demands making life at home more stressful than it needs to be? At KlinikNord, we help parents understand why children and teenagers behave the way they do and how small changes in communication, expectations and everyday routines can make a meaningful difference. Together, we explore practical strategies to reduce family conflict, manage challenging behaviour and improve relationships, creating a calmer, more supportive home environment where children, teenagers and parents can thrive.
How can we help?
When family conflicts, emotional outbursts or everyday demands begin to take over, it can be difficult to know what to do differently. At KlinikNord, we help parents understand what lies behind their child’s or teenager’s behaviour and explore practical ways to reduce conflict, improve communication and create a calmer, happier family life together.
We take the time to listen to both your experiences as parents and your child's perspective. What's difficult at the moment? What's already working well? And what would your child or teenager like help with? Depending on your family's needs, support may include individual sessions for your child or teenager, joint family sessions or practical parenting advice and guidance. At KlinikNord, we tailor our approach to your family's unique circumstances, working together to find realistic solutions that improve communication, strengthen relationships and make everyday family life easier.
Together, we explore whether the challenges stem from your child's individual needs, the expectations and demands around them, or a combination of both. Drawing on behavioural analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), we develop practical, personalised strategies that fit naturally into your family's everyday life. With clear goals, manageable exercises and ongoing parent guidance, we help you make positive changes at home, improve communication and respond to challenging behaviour with greater confidence. Our goal is simple: fewer conflicts, more understanding and more opportunities to enjoy family life together.

Extensive experience – practical support for everyday family life
At KlinikNord, we bring extensive professional knowledge and many years of experience working with children and families. We have delivered workshops and provided supervision for local authorities, educational psychology services (PPR), foster families and families of children with autism, as well as school workshops on giftedness. This experience gives us a valuable understanding of the different needs, expectations and environments that shape a child's everyday life – at home, in early years settings and at school.
We listen to your experiences and draw on our expertise to find practical, personalised solutions that work for your child and family – with wellbeing and small, meaningful changes at the heart of everything we do.
Our approach
We guide you through a clear and suportive process, working together to understand your child's needs and find the right way forward
Session
We listen to both children and parents to understand their experiences, wishes and challenges. Together, we explore whether the difficulties arise from the child's individual needs and abilities, the demands of their environment, or a combination of both.
Treatment plan
Taking your child's perspective, individual strengths and needs as our starting point, we set clear, achievable goals. Together, we identify which skills your child can develop and practise, and where it may be more helpful to adapt the demands and expectations of those around them.
Ongoing treatment
You and your child put new strategies into practice in everyday life. We monitor progress, listen to everyone's experiences and regularly adjust goals, exercises and expectations to ensure the support continues to meet your family's needs.
