TALKS FOR PROFESSIONALS

Anxiety and Worry: When Your Tummy Says No, but Life Says “Come On!”

Learn to recognise anxiety and break patterns of avoidance.

Childhood anxiety – how to support children without removing the challenges

What do we do when a child's internal alarm system goes off in response to something that isn't actually dangerous, but feels completely overwhelming? Sometimes, in trying to protect children, we remove so many challenges that they never get the chance to discover what they're truly capable of.

Drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), we explore anxiety, avoidance, realistic thinking and gradual exposure.

How can we help children face discomfort in small, manageable steps – without pushing them too hard or unintentionally making their world smaller?

A practical, hands-on talk offering teachers and parents concrete advice and strategies for supporting children with anxiety, developing realistic thinking, using gradual exposure and strengthening collaboration between home and school.

Because anxiety can't be tackled in the classroom alone. When schools and parents work together, children have a better chance of discovering just how much they can actually manage.
